Set up your eSIM in 5 steps
Do the first 3 steps at home over Wi-Fi. The last 2 take a few seconds when you land.
Before you travel, turn off roaming on your home SIM to avoid unexpected charges from your operator.
At home, before your trip

1Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service) → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. Then open the email with your eSIM and scan the QR code.

2Tap Continue and wait 2–4 minutes until the installation finishes. Stay on Wi-Fi.

3Name the new line after your destination (e.g. Turkey). For calls, iMessage and FaceTime keep Primary — your number stays the same.
When you land

4Go to Settings → Mobile Data → Turkey. Turn on Turn On This Line and Data Roaming — roaming must be ON for the eSIM to work.

5Back in Mobile Data, tap Mobile Data, choose your travel eSIM and keep Allow Mobile Data Switching off. That's it — you're online.
At home, before your trip

1Open Settings → Connections → SIM manager. Make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi.

2Tap Add eSIM → Scan QR code from service provider and point the camera at the QR code from your email.

3Confirm with Add, then name the new eSIM after your destination (e.g. Turkey).
When you land

4In SIM manager, turn on the eSIM and set Mobile data to your travel eSIM. Calls stay on your Primary SIM.

5Go to Connections → Mobile networks and turn Data roaming ON. You're online!
